Well, cowboys & cowgirls, after 3 years on staff at Camp Casey, I’m hanging up my cowgirl hat. I am honored to have worked here and am so proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish with this team. Working as the Program Director and now as the Community Relations Manager has been incredibly rewarding, both personally and professionally. Words can’t adequately express my gratitude for Molly and everyone I’ve worked with in my time here – especially you rockstar volunteers and Equine Therapists!
The best part of this job, as I’m sure you can imagine, was getting to interact with all of the sweet families we served. I can’t quite put into words how wonderful it is to talk to a parent who has been through the worst kind of hell with their sick child, and tell them we’re going to do something amazing for their family. Every family we work with has had their world totally flipped completely upside-down and, more often than not, they have nothing to look forward to on their calendars. To step in with a little sunshine when they need it most is the absolute BEST!
Don’t worry, y’all, you’ll still see me around! I was a volunteer with Camp Casey long before I worked here, and I plan on being a volunteer for years to come.
In health and horses…until next time!
